I picked up the LABS Project Boomstik Pro UPA paddle and the grittier face is definitely noticeable right away. The texture gives me more bite on the ball, which helps with spin control during dinks and drives. It meets UPA regulations, so I can use it in sanctioned play without worry. One thing to note: these do NOT come with MOIs, so be prepared for that. Overall a solid choice if you want extra grip on the face and play under UPA rules.
